Detailed information
The IDEAL® SureTrace™ Plus Circuit Tracer is a robust electrical troubleshooting solution for all electrical systems, including 3-Phase. This powerful tool effortlessly traces and locates breakers, fuses, and conductors hidden in walls, ceilings, and floors, while pinpointing wiring faults like dead shorts, opens, and splice errors. Leave your other testers behind – the transmitter features a patent-pending auto continuity test, and indicates eight voltage levels plus DC polarity. The receiver includes a built-in NCVT for detecting AC voltage from 24 to 600 VAC. Work safely in tight spaces and at various angles with the receiver’s dual high-visibility displays – a patented 180° rotating main display, and TightSight® secondary display – that eliminate the need to place your head near panels/conductors. Locating breakers and fuses becomes an easy, one-person task thanks to advanced CertainCircuit™ technology. Additional features – including over-molded industrial grip, built-in kickstand, work light, mute function, and PPE indicator – ensure you work with accuracy and efficiency. With a CAT III 600V rating, the IDEAL® SureTrace Plus Circuit Tracer is the professional tool that “finds everything” on both energized and de-energized circuits, while saving you time and money.
- RELIABLE TRACING: Detect breakers and fuses, conductors in walls, ceilings, and floors, dead shorts, opens, and splice errors (shared neutrals) with speed and accuracy
- SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY: ETL Certified CAT III for use in all electrical systems up to 600V AC/DC, including 3-phase, energized and de-energized
- CONTINUITY TEST: Transmitter features a patent pending built-in continuity test, eliminating the need for a second tester when searching for wiring faults
- HIGH-VISIBILITY DUAL DISPLAYS: Easily view readings in tight spaces and at tough angles thanks to the receiver’s two high-visibility displays, including a patented 180° rotating main display and a TightSight bottom display
- VOLTAGE INDICATORS: Transmitter indicates DC polarity and eight different voltage levels between 24V to 600V AC and 12V to 600V DC
- USER-FRIENDLY FEATURES: Analog and digital signal strength, sensitivity level, battery level, built-in NCVT, work light, kick-stand, hanging strap clip, and mute button to silence audible indications when working in noise-sensitive areas
- ONE-PERSON TRACING: CertainCircuit technology turns breaker/fuse and live circuit confirmation into a one-person job by visibly indicating when the correct circuit has been deenergized at the panel or the other end
- DURABLE DESIGN: Overmolded industrial design withstands the toughest jobsite conditions, enhancing grip and providing drop protection up to 6.6 feet (2 m)
- 3D INSTRUCTIONS: 3D interactive instructions on tracer usage in different scenarios are available through a free downloadable app
- PACKAGE INCLUDES: SureTrace™ PLUS Transmitter and receiver, outlet plug adapter (hot and neutral), 2 blade prongs (hot and neutral, one pair), ground prong, 2 alligator clips, 2 three-foot lead adapters, molded hard case, instruction manual, and 10 AA batteries

Popular Mechanics

I would absolutely recommend these lever connectors and will surely be using them in the future! Those connectors were super easy to work with, didn’t seem flimsy like other brands, and were super easy to install as well as remove
