IDEAL® CAT5e Strain Relief Boots are compatible with all standard sized CAT5e and CAT6 RJ45 connectors and help to protect the modular plug body, especially the latch tab, from external handling damage. Made of flexible PVC, these boots help to maintain the cable bend radius and limits conductor movement inside of the connector that can lead to continuity failures over time.

  • Great for making high-performing, professional looking custom length patch cables
  • Prevents broken connector tabs and snagging while extending connector life
  • Minimizes cable bends that can reduce data speed and result in data loss
  • Dampens cable movement and vibrations that can result in premature connector failure
  • Max recommended cable jacket outer diameter of 6mm (.236″) for boot
  • For CAT5e and CAT6 twisted pair cables with jacket diameters of 5.0mm – 6.0mm
