• The versatile FT-45 Modular Crimp Tool simplifies terminations and increases first time success rates. The single crimp cavity for RJ-45 / 8-position connectors is capable of crimping IDEAL feed-thru, standard, shielded and unshielded connectors for CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT6A allowing users to control costs by easily maintaining a single crimp tool, instead of purchasing a new one for different types of RJ-45 connectors. 
• The replaceable heavy-duty cutting blade will last for more than 2000 cuts.  The FT-45 also requires less than ½ of the mechanical force of traditional crimpers to squeeze the handle closed and crimp the connector. No ratchet mechanism is needed and one- handed crimping is possible.  Additionally, the FT-45 includes 568A and 568B wiring schemes marked on the tool for ease of use. 
• The IDEAL PrepPRO® can be used to strip the cable jacket. Thanks to an auto-adjusting blade depth, replaceable blade cartridges and a spring-loaded mechanism for consistent cutting force, the cable jacket can be stripped easily.
