The launch continues a successful partnership with BILT, an app that provides 3D Intelligent Instructions™, which began with the release of the BILT conduit bending guide in February.
The BILT app now features comprehensive instructions for both new SureTrace Circuit Tracer models:
Circuit tracers are an indispensable tool in many electrical troubleshooting applications, including identifying breakers, locating dead shorts and shared neutrals, and tracing conductive materials through walls, ceilings, and floors. The new BILT instructions recreate the tracers in detailed 3D environments and allow electricians to learn how to use their SureTrace Circuit Tracer in common troubleshooting scenarios. Each lesson is designed to take just a few minutes, providing clear and concise instructions for the electrician on-the-go.

The instructional content covers key topics for each SureTrace model, including:
- Introduction and Overview of the Transmitter
- Introduction and Overview of the Receiver
- How to Use a Remote Return Path
- How to Find a Breaker or Fuse
- How to Find Buried Conductors
- How to Find Common Splice Errors (Shared Neutrals)
- How to Find Dead Shorts
- How to Trace Conductors in Walls, Ceilings, and Floors
- How to Find a 3-Phase Breaker, Fuse, or Conductor
Once a lesson is selected, the app uses voice, text, and interactive cues to walk the user through step-by-step instructions. Users can manipulate the 3D models to any angle and pause, replay, or scroll through the instructions as needed. This flexibility allows electricians to learn at their own pace and according to their preferred learning method.
