Detailed information
The IDEAL® 61-637 Single Range Non-Contact Voltage Tester is a reliable and essential safety tool for detecting the presence of voltage in the range of 24 – 1000V AC. This CAT IV 1000 V AC, UL Listed tester ensures safety and precision by automatically detecting and indicating the presence of voltage. It uses a non-contact detection system with an antenna enclosed in plastic at the tip, sensing the electromagnetic field around live conductors. When powered on, the tip illuminates with a green LED, switching to a red flashing LED and an audible beep that increases in frequency as the voltage level rises. Powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries, this tester also features a convenient LED flashlight in the tip, an audible disable function for quiet environments, a lanyard tie-off point, auto power off, and low battery indication. The 61-637 is designed to provide accurate and efficient voltage detection, making it an indispensable tool for any electrical professional.
- UL Certified CAT IV 1000V AC, 24 to 1000 V AC
- LED Flashlight in the tip operates independently of the tester functions and can be used to illuminate the work area
- Audible notification disable with the simple press of speaker button – tester can be operated with a visual only indication of voltage when working in noise sensitive or restricted areas
- Auto power off after 10 minutes of inactivity – the tester will emit one long beep (0.5s) and then shut off
- Low battery indication

Popular Mechanics

I would absolutely recommend these lever connectors and will surely be using them in the future! Those connectors were super easy to work with, didn’t seem flimsy like other brands, and were super easy to install as well as remove
