SureTest^® Circuit Analyzer

The IDEAL® SureTest® circuit analyzer utilizes patented technology to “look behind walls” and identify wiring problems that can lead to personal shock hazards, electrical fires, or equipment performance issues. Personal shock hazards arise from poor grounding, false grounds, or lack of ground fault protection, while electrical fires are often caused by arc faults and high resistance points that create glowing connections in the circuit wiring. Equipment performance issues can result from insufficient voltage under load, poor ground impedance, and high ground-to-neutral voltage, with an estimated 80% of power quality problems linked to these faulty wiring issues. The SureTest® analyzer measures voltage drop under load (12A, 15A, and 20A load tests), hot and neutral conductor impedances, and estimate load on line (ELL) up to 15A. It also tests GFCIs and EPDs for proper operation, high accuracy, True RMS, line voltage, peak voltage, frequency, ground to neutral voltage, and ground impedance. Additionally, it identifies proper wiring in 3-wire receptacles, detects false (bootleg) grounds, conducts testing without disturbing sensitive loads, and verifies isolated grounds with the optional 61-176 adapter. The SureTest® features a super-bright display, and includes a convenient carrying case.
