Detailed information
The IDEAL® Coax Cable Mapper is a handy tool for locating the start and end points of coaxial cable runs, especially in homes or buildings with multiple rooms and floors. For use with standard F-type connectors, it helps homeowners, contractors, and maintenance professionals identify which coax lines go to which outlets, using colour coded remotes that are simply attached at the termination point. It’s particularly useful in layouts with splitters and taps, making it easier to trace cables behind walls or across floors. Additionally, it can be used to verify that coax patch cables have continuity, and are free from errors like opens and shorts.
- Easily verify the start and end points of coax cable runs
- Simplifies finding a specific coax line even when it is behind walls or travels through multiple floors of a building
- Four color coded remote terminators for mapping coax multiple locations
- Terminators are stored on the back of the main test unit when not in use
- F-type interface on main unit and remotes
- F-81 barrel adapter for attaching a remote to a terminated male F connector
- Identifies opens in a coaxial cable line (cut coax, unterminated ends, or loose connectors)
- Identifies shorts in coaxial cable line (shielding contacting conductor pin)

I would absolutely recommend these lever connectors and will surely be using them in the future! Those connectors were super easy to work with, didn’t seem flimsy like other brands, and were super easy to install as well as remove
