The IDEAL® LinkMaster™ wiremapper pinpoints wiring and continuity errors in twisted pair cabling. This handy tool ensures your cables are properly terminated at both ends and free from major defects like cut conductors that could disrupt signal continuity. Activate the tester and LinkMaster™ goes to work, checking each cable pair for opens (unterminated or cut conductors), shorts (conductors that touch), miswires (wires out of order), reversals (one pair miswired), and split pairs (correctly wired but with the wrong conductor order). Colored LED lights make it easy to see pass/fail conditions for each pair in RJ45 8-conductor cables, with red LEDs indicating any failures for quick visual identification. But that’s not all – LinkMaster™ also tests shield continuity on shielded connectors and cables. Its debug feature cycles through each pair, showing the pass/fail status one at a time. With single-button operation, using LinkMaster™ is a breeze. Package includes the main test unit with batteries and a remote unit (does not require batteries). Compatible with CAT 3/5e/6/6A twisted pair cable.
