Helix^™ Braided Fish Tape Repair Kit

The IDEAL Helix Repair Kit provides an easy and reliable way to restore the performance of your Helix Fish Tape. The kit includes a molded non-conductive replacement eyelet and a tube of adhesive, allowing electricians to replace damaged tips directly in the field without needing a full tape replacement. Proper preparation and installation are critical to ensuring a strong and secure eye to tape connection. To repair, first cut back the damaged end with side cutting pliers. Apply the supplied industrial adhesive to the fish tape material, starting at the cut end and extending approximately three quarters of an inch. Insert the glued end fully into the replacement eyelet, making sure the tape bottoms out inside the eye. Allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before putting the tape back into service.
